This car seat is wonderful! For my 9 month old, I wanted the BEST. No really, I did. I even checked the NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) website and this Britax Roundabount was the TOP-rated car seat. The fabric is soft and plush and a great nuetral color. My son loves it too, he’s usually asleep by the time we leave our driveway.

 Go with a different Britax Seat
I had this seat for about 2.5 years. At first, I loved it. Then the straps started getting harder and harder to adjust. It would take both my husband and I pulling on it to get them to budge and even then we could not get them tight enough to really be considered safe. I called Britax (they have the best customer service), I explained my situation and they agreed to replace my seat free of charge with either a Marathon or Boulvard. I chose the Boulevard and I am so happy that I did. It is a fantastic seat and I would highly recommend that anyone looking at this seat consider the Boulevard instead. It is only slightly more expensive but it is much nicer. I also have the Regent which is another fantastic seat and I would highly recommend that seat to anyone with room in their car (because it is huge) and with a child over the age of 1 - it is forward facing only. Britax is the best but unfortunately there is a design flaw in this seat in the way that the buckle is made.

Customer Review: SAFETY FIRST!
The Britax Regent, is certainly a wonderful, expensive, large car seat. Having said that, it is the safest car seat out in the market aside from the Sunshine Kids car seat for children over 40 plus pounds. When searching for car seats, I was not aware of the importance of having a child in a 5 point harness for as long as possible until I read a story of a four yearl old boy who lost his life while seated in a booster seat. Studies show, that it is beneficial to have your children in a five point harness for as long as possible.

The price of this seat is hefty but nothing compares to having the peace of mind and security that your child is in the best seat available.
The seat itself is large, too large for that matter- but it sure does look and feel cozy and safe.
We bought a 2008 highlander and could barely stretch out the seatbelt to accommodate this car seat. So be warned!

I personally would buy another one for our Echo- if the car was a little larger- for now, our only choice is the Sunshine Kids and Britax for our SUV.

Sturdy product with some limitations
In my opinion, Britax makes the best carseats and this one is no exception. It is sturdy and well made. The side headrests are a real plus when kids fall asleep or when they are tired and need to “rest their head.” Britax states that this carseat is for kids upto 60 inches tall and 100 pounds. I don’t think so! The bodice of the seat is very narrow. It couldn’t possibly accomodate a chubbier child comfortably. My child is five and weighs 40LBs. Even then, she says it feels a bit tight around her body. There isn’t much room for her to move (which is probably a good safety thing) but I can’t imagine her using this seat for too much longer.
