My wife and I bought two Britax Marathon car seats since our schedules required that one of us drop our son off at daycare while the other picks him up. We agreed that taking the seat out of her car every morning and then installing it back into my car just wouldn’t be worth it. After installing this seat we both agree that it was a wise decision. Although the installation isn’t very difficult, it isn’t quick and painless either. The instructions provided were quite easy to follow and the Britax website actually has installation videos you can watch as well. I found them to be very reassuring that I had followed the instructions from the manual properly.
Our son seems to love his seat. He will be in this seat for quite some time and has a ton of room to grow within it as it is rated up to 65 lbs. The seat covers are made with very soft fabric and he just seems so cozy riding in his seat. It makes me wish they made these seats for adults because it just looks so comfy. The seat also comes with some of the “little things” included that just make for a better product. Simple things like velcro tabs to hold the shoulder straps to the side while loading/unloading your child go a long way in my book. Not every seat on the market has things like that available and the Marathon has made sure to include those little extras.
These seats are very highly rated for safety and it makes me feel very reassured that my son is as safe as possible when riding in the car. Make sure follow the installation instructions closely to provide the best safety conditions for your child. Your mind will be much more at ease when driving knowing that your child is safe!
