Love this car seat. Very comfortable, easy to use and clean. We’ve had it for 2 years now, never had any problem with it. The greatest thing I love about this car seat is that it provides great head support for a sleeping baby/toddler. It’s very easy to remove the cover for cleaning or adjusting. I even machine wash the cover (delicate cycle). It’s the best car seat I’ve ever had/tried/seen!

Customer Review: Some premium design features comparison
We purchased this after the fact due to a substaintial sale from amazon. We started with and currently still useing Eddie Bauer carrier/stroller combo. Which we found to be very accomadating for our tall newborn. We then splurged on the Britax stroller Vigor for its rear facing for walks. Amazon refunded extra savings so that was very nice and then they placed the matching carrier on sale so we jumped on it.

In comparison, another review mentioned that the Britax carrier was advantageous for tall childen, perhaps its better then others but he Eddie Bauer surpasses Britax, in addition the Eddie Bauer is a bit more roomy or so it seems.

However we are very impressed with the Britax carrier, the design of the handle is much better design to make for a much easier comfortable hand carring experience, so much more that it seems easier to manuver while holding, it even seems lighter although the two carrier realy do not feel any different in weight by themselves. The Britax head stabalizer seems as if it would be uncomfortable especially for our 4 month old, but surprisingly it was not. It sure does seem much more safer, with EPS foam all over the place on the carrier. The canopy does fully extend to give cover. All adjustments are very easy to make.

The Britax seems like a wonderfull carrier for a small newborn and would highly recommend however be prepared for the carrier to be out grown sooner than expected.

Durable, safe, comfortable. My son has been in his for 3 years, since he was six months old. The weight limit is one of the highest, the cotton denim is very comfortable and easy to care for. He loves his seat. Highly recommend. We bought one for each car!

Customer Review: Wish we had purchased them sooner
We started off with the generic removable car seats (one was Graco, I don’t remember what the other one was) when my son was born. He always fussed and cried and was never happy riding in the car.

When he was about 7 months old and getting too large for those, my pediatrician recommended the Britax seats. We checked them out, but at $269 each (ane we wanted one for my car and my husband’s car), I thought they were just too expensive. I did some research online, and found fantastic reviews. There were several reviews from people who had been in car accidents, and the children were uninjured because these seats are so safe and secure. That sold me on them.

When we first put our son in the seat, he didn’t cry! He sits up high enough that he can look around. It’s much more comfortable for him, and I really wish we had purchased them when he was about 4 months old. They say these work for newborns, but my pediatrician doesn’t recommend them until the baby has some head control.

My son loves it even more now that he’s a year old and we turned the seats to be forward facing. To me, that was the main reason (other than safety) that I was willing to pay this much for a car seat. This seat is convertable from rear to forward facing, and fits children up to 4 or 5 years.

Another benefit is the adjustable straps. Every time you put your child in the seat, you snug down the straps. When you take them out, you loosen them and pull them out of they way. I remember what a hassle it was with the old car seats to loosen the straps when they got too tight. Not only that, but the straps were always in the way when I put him in or took him out of the seat. With the Britax, I can take my son out of the seat while he’s sleeping and not wake him up by having to wrestle his arms out from under fixed straps.

I chose the All-Star Blue pattern because it’s a blueish-silver color with a faint pattern. I sell real estate, so I wanted something nice looking and professional in my car. I love the look of this seat. My husband chose the camo pattern for his car.

Customer Review: GREAT CAR SEAT!!!
We have both the Boulevard and the Companion and both of them have their advantage and disadvantage.

Yes, the seat is heavy and I do feel that it is a safe seat. It is a perfect fit for an infant as well as a carry all. I have not had any problems with the shade as it works keeping the sun away. The cover is easy to clean as well as the material under the cover.

The price for the seats differ based upon the style of the cover. If the cover is a newly released style, then the price will be higher. Older styles are lower but from my understanding the seats are the same. Therefore, you might be paying a higher price for a certain pattern and not the workmanship of the car seat which is more important. If you like a certain style of covering you can always purchase an extra seat cover of the style of your choice. Certain stores have certain patterns as all vendors do not carry the same patterns but again it is the seat cover that is the difference in the cost of the different car seats. Before you purchase the car seat and you want to be certain that the workmanship has not changed, call customer service. They helped me and I am sure that they will help you as well.

We did not have a problem with the baby getting too hot nor did we have problems with his head tilting as it was a perfect fit. Other than the strap tangling, we have not had any problems with the car seat.

My problem with the car seat is the straps. The straps are not tangle free as they are on the Boulevard. If they were to add those straps to this car seat, then it would be a winner and that is why I gave it four stars.

However, I believe the car seat is a good and safe seat regardless of the hassles. If I had to do it over again, knowing what I know, I would still purchase this car seat. It is a winner even though trying to keep the straps straight wore us out.
